Spring cleaning is one of those things that kind of sucks while you’re doing it but feels great when it’s done. Like going to the dentist. Or losing twenty pounds.
Spring Cleaning is Not My Favorite
I tend to put off any sort of deep cleaning until I’m throwing a party or my in-laws are coming to visit. Then it’s all-hands-on-deck to clean every nook and cranny, including that weird space between the washer and dryer where the spiders and dust bunnies love to congregate.
Don’t ask me why I think anyone would ever look there, but once I’m in deep cleaning mode, I can’t seem to stop.
I usually end up exhausted, overwhelmed, and wishing I hadn’t waited so long to give my house the good cleaning it needed. Sometimes even wishing I hadn’t invited people over to my house in the first place.
A Better Spring Cleaning Checklist
What I needed was a way to get that deep clean feeling without cramming it all into one weekend. So this year, I’ve created a handy 30-Day Spring Cleaning Challenge, complete with a colorful checklist to keep me motivated and on track.
And since I know you want to get that deep clean feeling without all the stress too, I’d love to share my checklist with you today.

You’ll notice that some days are a little heavier than others, so feel free to mix and match them, swap them up to your heart’s content, to work with your schedule.
This 30-day method probably works best if you’re a stay-at-home-mom or work from home.
But many of these tasks can be done in less than an hour, so you could squeeze them in after work if you have the energy. Otherwise, you can combine them on weekly basis to get multiple spring cleaning tasks done over the course of a few weekends and still keep to that 30-day schedule.
Let me know if you try this out and how it works for you. Happy cleaning y’all!
